Straightforward by design
AI is part of how I build Tres Golpes. This page explains what it helps create, what remains mine, and why I use it openly.
HOW I USE AI
I use AI as a tool and working partner. It helps me organize ideas, research questions, improve writing, develop visuals, test systems, and solve problems behind the scenes.
My best energy belongs to teaching, creating community, and building a lasting place for Dominican bachata. AI helps me spend less time fighting every blank page or technical problem and more time doing that work.
The ideas come first
Tres Golpes is built from my experiences, preferences, teaching philosophy, and relationship to Dominican culture. AI did not create the mission, the curriculum, the atmosphere of La Bandera, or the reasons behind the business.
I decide the direction, provide the context, correct what is wrong, and determine what belongs. If something does not sound like me or reflect what I am actually building, it does not make the final version.
Writing and research
Some website copy, emails, articles, and educational material are created with AI assistance. I may begin with rough notes, a conversation, a question, or a specific idea. AI helps organize or draft the material; then I revise the language, add what is missing, and correct anything that does not fit.
For research-heavy work, AI may help locate, compare, or summarize information. I remain responsible for deciding what is credible, relevant, and appropriate to publish.
This page was built through that same process.
Images and visual direction
Some Tres Golpes artwork is AI-generated or AI-assisted. The images begin with direction tied to the brand, New York, Dominican culture, and the feeling I want the work to communicate.
I develop the concepts, shape the prompts, choose what works, and reject what feels generic or culturally wrong. AI-generated artwork is not presented as documentary photography or as a record of a real person, class, venue, or historical event.
Systems and operations
AI also helps me build and troubleshoot parts of the website, registration process, ticketing, email, scheduling, and other internal systems.
It may assist with drafting, coding, testing, or working through a problem, but I decide what each system should do and verify the result before relying on it. Responsibility for how Tres Golpes operates remains mine.
The back-and-forth
The process is rarely “give AI a prompt and publish the answer.” It is a conversation: I explain the goal, provide context, challenge what does not make sense, add my experience, and continue revising until the result feels accurate.
Some parts may be mostly my original words. Others may rely more heavily on AI for structure, research, or execution. Either way, the judgment, approval, and responsibility remain mine.
Why it matters
We are all figuring out this technology in real time. I use it openly because it allows a small business to create and operate at a level that would otherwise require more time, money, or people than it currently has.
I do not see AI as replacing me. I see it as multiplying what I can build while keeping the ideas, culture, relationships, and final decisions human.
