Simple Steps, Strong Dancing
What this class is
You’ve probably heard bachata your whole life — at family gatherings, parties, cookouts, or nights out — but never actually learned how the dance works. Maybe you know a few steps, maybe you’ve watched others move comfortably and thought you should probably learn too.
El Mangú focuses on the foundation of Dominican bachata: the fundamentals that make dancing feel smooth, grounded, and natural instead of rushed or forced.
You’re not learning a long list of moves. You’re learning the basics well enough that they actually work with different partners, songs, and situations.
How class works
Classes begin with solo practice to build strong footwork, control, and adaptable basics. Then we apply those same movements with a partner so they translate directly to real dancing.
The goal is simple: repeat the fundamentals enough that they feel natural, so you can relax and enjoy the dance instead of thinking about it.
